On August 9, 2025, in Jiujiang, Jiangxi province, a video captured a Shiba Inu entering the river for the first time. The dog wore a special life jacket, keeping its body afloat. It seemed nervous, barely moving as it tried to stay balanced on the water. The little Shiba appeared frightened but curious, needing more practice to swim confidently.

A partial lunar eclipse is observed in Japan, with part of the moon falling under the shadow of the earth and apparently waned.
