South Africa: Anti-Immigration Protest Erupts Across Major Cities

Protests erupted across South Africa's main cities on Tuesday, June 30, as demonstrators demanded that all undocumented migrants leave the country. It was described as the biggest migration-related protest in the country since 2008. In Johannesburg, tens of thousands took to the streets, with the demonstration led by Ngizwe Mchunu.

Ghana: Floodwaters Inundate Accra Neighborhoods, Forcing Evacuations and Road Closures

Heavy rainfall overnight flooded large parts of Accra, Ghana's capital, submerging major roads and low-lying communities and disrupting the Monday morning commute for thousands of residents. Ghana's Ministry of the Interior deployed emergency response teams and mobilized multiple security agencies, including the military and fire service, urging residents in flood-prone areas to move to higher ground and avoid flooded roads.
