The farm, which covers an area of 20,000 mu (about 1,300 hectares), belongs to Sinochem, China's leading operator of fertilizer, seeds and agrochemicals. The platform provides real-time data on crop growth, enabling one agro-technician to manage 4,000 mu (about 266 hectares) of paddy field through a smartphone app. The system has been applied in various areas in Tianjin.
