A smoke was seen billowing from the rooftop of Marina Bay Sands on Tuesday afternoon, October 28 as a small fire broke out. The fire was swiftly extinguished by staff, according to reports. No injuries were reported.

The Bryant Park Winter Village in Manhattan reopened on Saturday, December 28, following a fire at the Holiday Market in the park on Friday morning. The fire destroyed three food booths, slightly damaged an adjacent kiosk, and caused minor heat damage to the ice skating rink’s roof.

Mexico was the first to witness this year's total solar eclipse on April 8. The astronomical phenomenon started at 9:51 in the morning on the west coast of Mexico, and about an hour and 16 minutes later, the totality was seen and lasted for around 4 minutes.
