So far, due to the continuing strong winds, the tanker has not got out of the trouble. Maltese Transport Minister Ian Borg said in a facebook post that the Transport Malta is assisting the rescue operation for the 209-meter tanker and confirmed the risk of pollution is very low. The tanker's crew was unable to get the tanker's anchor to hold, and the tanker was on way to Marsaxlokk, a southern port of Malta, from the Spanish port of Algeciras in Cadiz, according to the Maltese media report.
