12/17/2023 Tel Aviv Israel. recently released hostages Maya Regev (L), Itai Regev, Daniel Aloni (2L) and Agam Goldstein Almog (R) at a rally outside The Museum of Art known as the 'The Hostages and Missing Square' on December 16, 2023 in Tel Aviv, Israel On Friday, the IDF said its forces accidentally killed three hostages being held in Gaza when it mistakenly identified them as potential threats. Yotam Haim, Samer Talalka, Alon Shamriz were kidnapped from southern Israel on Oct. 7 by Hamas militants and taken back to the Gaza Strip. Israel launched an air and ground campaign in Gaza soon thereafter in an effort to defeat Hamas.
