China: Dog Follows Owner Into Snow on Impulse During Hike in Xinjiang

On March 12, 2026, a video was captured showing a person hiking with a dog through deep snow in the Hemu Scenic Area of Altay Prefecture in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of northwestern China, on their way to the Meili Peak Scenic Area. The path was covered in thick snow on all sides. During the hike, the owner suddenly and impulsively jumped into the snow on the side of the road.
