A powerful mix of rain, hail, and tornadoes hit the Chicago area as severe storms due to a cold front pummeled Illinois on Tuesday, February 27. Multiple tornadoes were reported amid tornado warnings and severe thunderstorm watches popping up one after the other as the weather system moved eastward.
