A wildfire broke out in the forested area of Cankurtaran neighborhood in Pamukkale, Denizli on August 23, along the Denizli–Antalya highway. The cause of the fire is currently unknown. A magnitude 5.8 earthquake struck near Marmaris in Muğla Province, southwestern Turkey, at 2:17 a.m. local time on Tuesday, June 3.
