According to the Meteorology and Hydrology Department, Friday saw daytime temperatures in Sagaing region and eastern Shan state soaring 5 degrees Celsius above April averages. Similarly, temperatures in other regions, including Nay Pyi Taw, Mandalay, Magway, northern and southern Shan state, Chin state, and Kayah state, surged 3 to 4 degrees Celsius above their usual averages. The Ministry of Health issued health guidelines on Friday to address heat-related disorders as temperatures climb across the Southeast Asian nation.
