Czech General Karel Rehka, a deputy head of the NATO Multinational Division North East, received the Arnost Lustig Prize for courage, humanity and justice of the Czech-Israeli mixed trade chamber today, on Thursday, May 16, 2019. Rehka, 44, said the prize was a recognition for the soldiers of his generation and he did not see himself as an ideal of courage, humanity and justice. He told CTK that human indifference was the greatest threat. When presenting the prize, Foreign Minister Tomas Petricek (Social Democrats, CSSD) said former Czech special forces head Rehka was the symbol of what the Czech Republic wants to be - a proud country able to cooperate and pursue its goals abroad.
