On December 18,2025 papier-mâché artists in Srinagar ,Jammu and Kashmir create Christmas decorations as the holiday season approaches. However, the industry faces fresh hurdles after the US increases import duties. Artisans fear that the higher tariffs will decrease demand for their products, particularly Christmas ornaments, which make up a large part of exports. Kashmir’s papier-mâché items are sent to markets in the US, Europe, Australia, and the UAE. Australia: Chaos Ensues After Youth Gathering Turns Unruly at Mordialloc Beach

Riot police were deployed to Mordialloc Beach in Melbourne’s south-east on Wednesday, December 17, after a large gathering of youths turned unruly, raising public safety concerns and forcing a nearby Woolworths supermarket into lockdown. According to local media, more than 100 youths had gathered in the area when police were first called shortly after 3 p.m. following reports of a brawl at the store.
