TOKYO, Japan - Aguri Suzuki, principal of the Super Aguri Formula One team, said in Tokyo on May 6 that the team has withdrawn from the world championship series due to financial problems. The team signed former BAR Honda driver Takuma Sato and made its F1 debut in 2006, backed by technical and financial support from Honda.

Honda aims for strong return to Formula One racing

MELBOURNE, Australia - The photo shows the BAR Honda 002 car heading for a racing course to run on a trial basis from a pit on March 10 in Melbourne. Honda Motor Co. is aiming for a strong return to Formula One (F1) racing at this weekend's Australian Grand Prix. The Honda team, including drivers Canadian Jacques Villeneuve and Brazilian Ric Zonta, is set on completing the inner city Melbourne circuit to accumulate points for later in the season.

LONDON, Jan. 24 Kyodo - Honda Motor Co. and its partners on Jan. 24 unveiled a car they hope will propel them to the top of the Formula One league. The newly formed F-1 racing team, Lucky Strike Reynard BAR (British American Racing) Honda, showed off the new BAR Honda 002 in London. Canada's former Formula I World Champion Jacques Villeneuve (second from L) with his teammate Brazil's Ricardo Zonta (R of Villeneuve) and other team members stood by the new car.
