China: Floating Traffic Barriers Turn Flooded Street Into Surreal Parade in Qingdao

On June 15, 2025, in Qingdao, Shandong, bright orange traffic barriers were seen drifting down a flooded street like boats. Torrential rain had turned the road into a shallow river, sending the barriers—usually used to manage traffic—floating and bumping into each other. Bystanders laughed and filmed the surreal scene as the barriers bobbed gently in the water, resembling a slow-moving parade. The video ended with the barriers continuing their odd journey downstream.
