26 hurt in 80-vehicle pileup on Hokkaido highway

BIBAI, Japan - About 80 vehicles are involved in a pileup in the southbound lane of the Do-o Expressway in Bibai, western Hokkaido, Japan's northernmost main island, Dec. 13. Twenty-six people are injured, one seriously, and rushed to hospital. The road is covered with patches of ice.
