Sanlucar has a long history and in 1519, Ferdinand Magallanes sailed from the port with five ships - one of which, the Nao Victoria, would return to the same port in 1522 having completed the first circumnavigation of the world. Magallanes never made it back home, but the trip has still gone down in history and the 500th anniversary of the Nao Victoria's return offers Sanlucar a special opportunity to highlight its most famous products.
