Spain: Tenerife Activates Island Emergency Plan Amid Storm Claudia

In response to the arrival of Storm Claudia, which is forecast to bring heavy rain, flooding, and strong winds, Tenerife activated its Island Emergency Plan (PEIN) on Wednesday, November 12. The island is currently under an orange alert for adverse weather. As precautionary measures, the government has closed schools for the afternoon and restricted access to Teide National Park and all hiking trails.
