Members of the ‘Comity of the Grand Depart of the Tour de France 2024’ offer to Pope Francis an old shirt ‘Legnano Pirelli’, one of the most successful cycling team in history, during an audience at the Vatican on June 22, 2024. For the first time in its 111-year history, the Tour de France will begin in Italy, with three initial stages crossing through Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna and Piedmont. The start of the race, known as the Grand Départ, will take place on Saturday, June 29 in Florence.
