China: Dog Jumps Into Excavator Bucket for Joy Ride

On September 6, 2025, in Hebei province, northern China, a Belgian Malinois ran toward an excavator on farmland and leapt into its bucket. The driver playfully lifted and swung the bucket, giving the dog a short ride before lowering it back down. The excited dog wagged its tail and jumped out happily.

Sixteen Technical Survey Dogs (TSDs) alongside eight women handlers underwent extensive training in Cambodia for five months before returning to Ukraine. Over the next seven months, the teams are expected to survey around 1,800 square kilometres of land in Kharkiv Oblast, enabling the safe return of invaluable land for productive use.
