People forced to vacate homes for Haneda airport recall memories

Photo taken on Nov. 17, 2015, shows Tokyo's Bentenbashi bridge over which local residents crossed in September 1945 when forced to evacuate their homes within 48 hours by U.S.-led occupation forces to make way for the expansion of Haneda airport. Airport facilities and parked planes can be seen in the background.
