Grand Hotel at Yokohama Bund

This photograph was taken at almost the same angle as photograph #3175, but there are more telegraph poles, indicating that the former was taken later. The boathouse built in 1880 is visible at Furansu Hatoba (French Wharf) in the centre, and the pine trees planted along the Bund in 1885 are not seen. The city of Nagasaki can be seen across the shore. A boathouse with three people sitting in it can be seen with houses in the background. The photographer is Uchida Kuichi.
