A fire broke out Monday, June 15, at a Fairfield Inn & Suites in north Lincoln, Nebraska, with flames spreading up the building's exterior into the attic and causing most of the roof to collapse. No injuries were reported, though the hotel was heavily damaged.

US: Flash Flood Hits Durham, NC Days After Tropical Depression Chantal

Several parts of North Carolina experienced severe flash flooding on Wednesday, July 9, as a strong line of thunderstorms moved into the region, just days after Tropical Depression Chantal brought intense flooding to Chapel Hill.
