Recap: American Airlines Flight Catches Fire at Denver Airport

American Airlines flight 1006 caught fire at Denver International Airport on Thursday, March 13, forcing passengers to evacuate. The Boeing 737-800, carrying 178 people from Colorado Springs Airport to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, made an emergency landing at the Colorado airport due to what appeared to be an engine issue. Following the evacuation, 12 passengers were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
