ALPES DE HAUTE-PROVENCE, 04, UBAYE VALLEY, THE COL DE LA BONNETTE IS A MOUNTAIN PASS ROAD AT 2715 METERS ALTITUDE, WHICH CONNECTS THE UBAYE VALLEY IN THE ALPES DE HAUTE-PROVENCE TO THE TINEE VALLEY IN THE ALPES-MARITIMES. THE COL DE LA BONNETTE IS BETWEEN THE SUMMIT OF THE BONETTE (2860 M) AND THE SUMMIT OF TROIS SERRIERES (2753 M). MUCH OF THE ROAD BETWEEN JAUSIERS AND SAINT-ETIENNE-DE-TINEE IS LOCATED IN A PROTECTED AREA OF THE MERCANTOUR NATIONAL PARK. THIS IS ONE OF THE HIGHEST ROAD PASS IN THE ALPS, BICYCLE TOURING.
