Tokyo hospital apologizes for 7 infection deaths

TOKYO, Japan - Seven inpatients have died at Ito Noshinkei Geka Byoin (Ito Neurosurgical Hospital)(in the photo) in Tokyo's Setagaya Ward from what is believed to be an in-hospital infection, the hospital said Jan. 18. The two male and five female patients -- who died between Jan. 10 and Jan. 16 -- may have died from serratia bacteria infections.
