2 remaining ASDF cargo planes return from Iraq airlift mission

NAGOYA, Japan - Japanese troops get off an Air Self-Defense Force C-130H cargo plane that was involved in an airlift mission in Iraq at the ASDF's Komaki base in Aichi Prefecture on Dec. 21. The two remaining ASDF C-130H cargo planes involved in the mission returned to Japan the same day with 27 troops aboard.

NAGOYA, Japan - One of six Air Self-Defense Force C-130H transport planes is loaded with relief supplies for Afghan refugees at the Komaki base in Aichi Prefecture on Oct. 5. The planes are scheduled to leave the base Oct. 6, arriving in Islamabad on Oct. 9 after refueling stops in Okinawa, the Philippines, Thailand and India.

Cabinet approves SDF aircraft dispatch to Pakistan

TOKYO, Japan - A C-130H transport plane is ready at a Air Self-Defense Force base in Komaki in Aichi Prefecture on Oct. 5 to be sent to Pakistan to help airlift supplies to Afghan refugees. Defense Agency chief Gen Nakatani ordered the dispatch of six C-130H aircraft under instructions from Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi.
