Super Typhoon Ragasa, locally called Nando, battered northern Philippines with torrential rain and strong winds, causing floods, deadly landslides, and widespread destruction. The accident occurred on Saturday morning when the boat sank during a river crossing in Basol area of Momand Dara district, said Quraishi Badloon, head of the provincial information department. Thirteen people were rescued, while five others remained missing. The passengers were mostly women and children.
