Smoke from the Long Lake wildfire in Annapolis County, Nova Scotia, is affecting air quality across much of the province, including Halifax, Lunenburg, Kings, and Hants counties. Environment Canada has issued warnings, noting that smoke can cause irritation to the eyes, nose, and throat, and pose health risks for the elderly, children, pregnant people, and those with chronic conditions.
