DILI, East Timor - Election officials count votes in Dili, the capital of East Timor, on July 7, 2012, after polls closed. A parliamentary election held the same day was seen as a close contest between the center-left National Congress for Timorese Reconstruction (CNRT) party of Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao and the left-wing Fretilin party of former Prime Minister Mari Alkatiri.
