Turkey: Severe Cold Wave Brings Snow Across Country, Forcing School Closures

A severe cold wave hit much of Turkey, including Istanbul and Ankara, forcing many schools to close on Monday, January 12. The suspension of education continued on Tuesday in several provinces due to heavy snow and the ongoing risk of ice and avalanches.
