UK: Thick, Black Smoke Billows From Fire At Recycling Center In Hitchin

A fire broke out at the Nationwide Metal Centre plant in Cadwell Lane, Hitchin, Hertfordshire on Saturday, July 20. Thick, black smoke was billowing from the site prompting advice from fire authorities to residents nearby to keep doors and windows shut. The blaze in the scrapyard plant was the third time in past 8 months.
