TSU, Japan - The world's tallest and longest roller coaster at Nagashima Spaland in Nagashima, Mie Prefecture, halted suddenly on Aug. 23, seriously injuring one passenger and another person at a nearby pool. Kyushu Shinkansen train cars to be shipped to Kagoshima

KUDAMATSU, Japan - A train car for the Kyushu Shinkansen ''Tsubame'' bullet train, which will start running in March next year, is loaded on a transport vessel at Kudamatsu, Yamaguchi Prefecture, on Aug. 3. Six coaches are to be loaded by Aug. 4 before the vessel leaves for a Kyushu Railway Co. train base in Kagoshima Prefecture.
