The fire has now burned through 24,000 acres, with 30% of the fire contained. The 18-Mile Stretch of US Highway 1 was closed again on Thursday morning for the third day in a row. It was later reopened in the afternoon. This video shows a firefighting helicopter flying near Homestead-Miami Speedway on Wednesday, March 19.
