US: Six-Alarm Junkyard Fire Sends Massive Smoke Plume Over Opa-locka, Miami

A massive junkyard fire broke out around 5 p.m. on Monday, May 25, near Northwest 135th Street and Cairo Lane in Opa-locka, Miami-Dade County. The 6-alarm blaze spread to three nearby businesses, with more than 80 units responding. No injuries were reported.

Severe storms struck southeastern Michigan overnight into Wednesday, April 15, bringing strong winds, heavy rain, and possible tornadoes. In Ann Arbor, winds gusted up to 70 mph, damaging the University of Michigan's Yost Ice Arena and downing trees and power lines across the region.
