Snowfall continued across the Sierra de Madrid on Wednesday, December 3, with Aemet maintaining a yellow alert for up to 5 cm of snow above 1,100 meters. Cloudy skies, fog, and light morning showers were reported, while temperatures stayed near freezing in higher areas.

Spain is experiencing its first major winter storm, bringing snow across several regions. The April heatwave is caused by an influx of hot air from the Sahara and is especially affecting the regions of Andalusia, Castille-La Mancha, Extremadura, Murcia and the Community of Valencia, where temperatures are between 5-10 degrees higher than average and up to 15 degrees higher than usual in some areas.
