ATACAMA, Chile - Takashi Miyata, an associate professor at the University of Tokyo, points to the university's astronomical observatory facility on Mt. Chajnantor in northern Chile on Sept. 29, 2011. The facility is over 5,000 meters above sea level and Miyata is wearing an oxygen device to cope with the high altitude.
