Chile: Police Fire Water Cannons as Anti-Austerity March Turns Violent in Santiago

Thousands of students and teachers marched in Santiago on Wednesday, June 3, to protest President José Antonio Kast's austerity measures and education budget cuts. Police deployed water cannons and tear gas as the demonstration turned violent, leaving several people injured and at least a dozen arrested.
