Japan: Tsunami Observed in Coastal Areas After M8.8 Russia Quake

A tsunami warning was issued for a wide area along Japan's Pacific coast after a magnitude 8.8 earthquake struck off Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula on Wednesday, July 30. The Japan Meteorological Agency announced that the first tsunami wave was observed in Choshi, Chiba Prefecture at 11:09 a.m.
