Int'l rescue squads arrive in El Salvador

SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador - Rescue workers from Taiwan search for missing persons in the hardest-hit district of las Colinas in Santa Tecla in the western part of San Salvador on Jan. 15. Rescue squads have arrived from the United States, Mexico, Spain, Canada and other countries with medicine, food and tents for makeshift shelters. Japan is sending a second medical team of 11 which is expected to arrive later Jan. 16.
