KOBE, Japan - Children watch one of two pandas from China at the Kobe Oji Zoo in Kobe, western Japan, July 28 during a welcoming ceremony for the animals. The pandas, on loan from China for 10 years, were put on view for the public later in the day. China sent the pandas to the zoo after the city of Kobe asked Beijing for help in consoling children suffering from the 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake.
