L-R Vinci Concessions CFO Vojtech Janousek and CEO Christian Biegert and Czech Transport Minister Karel Havlicek today, on Monday, February 15, 2021, signed a contract with French consortium DIVia to build and run a D4 motorway section, which is the first PPP (public-private partnership) project concerning motorway construction in Czechia, and the work should start in March, Havlicek said. Under the PPP project, private investors will fund the construction and operate the road for some time once it is finished. The state should then repay the construction and take it over.The contract is for 28 years and the construction of the 32-km section between Pribram and Pisek is supposed to be completed in October 2024.
