4 killed after car overturns, crashes into highway pillar

FUKUOKA, Japan - Four 18-year-old men were killed May 5 when their car, a sedan carrying six teenagers on a late-night drive, overturned and hit an expressway pillar on the median of a road in Dazaifu, Fukuoka Prefecture, police said. The police suspect speeding may have caused the accident.

DAZAIFU, Japan - A new Kyushu museum (top) was completed May 9 in Dazaifu, Fukuoka Prefecture, in a ceremony involving about 400 people. The national museum will open in fall 2005 under the theme of how Japanese culture arose through exchange with other Asian countries. Dazaifu Shrine is seen below.
