The Muztagh Ata, located at the Pamir Plateau at an altitude of over 7,500 meters in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is an attraction to mountaineering enthusiasts from around the world. During the climbing season, people gather in Subax Village, Akto County, at the foot of the Muztagh Ata for mountaineering. As for those local people who are familiar with the terrain and climate here, participating in international mountaineering sports can increase their income and improve their livelihoods.
