PARIS, France - Georges Douin, executive vice president at Renault SA, tells a press conference in Paris, on Sept. 10, that the French carmaker aims to develop subcompact cars of about a 6,000-dollar price range for developing countries. Renault is eyeing Nissan Motor Co. of Japan for production and sales of the cars in the Southeast Asian market because the Japanese carmaker has production and sales bases in the Philippines and Indonesia, Douin said.
