Morocco: Deadly Flash Floods in Safi After Heavy Rainfall, Dozens Killed

Flash floods caused by sudden rainstorms hit the Moroccan coastal town of Safi on Sunday, December 14, resulting in at least 37 deaths, according to local authorities. The fierce downpour also caused significant property damage, affecting around 70 houses and shops in the town. While rescue teams continue to search for other possible victims, the weather service has forecast more heavy rains for Tuesday, December 16, across the country.
