The five-story pagoda of Hokanji Temple is viewed facing east. There are many visitors on the temple approach, and a gas light is visible. The five-story pagoda is viewed from Toyokuni Shrine (Senjokaku, or One Thousand Mat Hall ) on Tonooka Hill on the east side of Itsukushima Shinto Shrine.
