Taiwan: Typhoon Kong-Rey Makes Landfall, Bringing Strong Winds, Heavy Rain 8

Typhoon Kong-rey made landfall in Taitung, southeastern Taiwan, on Halloween afternoon, October 31, bringing gusty winds and heavy rainfall, and leaving at least one person dead. Authorities closed schools, offices, and financial markets, evacuated thousands of people, and suspended flights and train services. The video shows downed trees being cleared from the streets of Taipei's Da'an District on Friday morning.
