Ex-transport minister Fuyushiba dies

TOKYO, Japan - Former Transport Minister Ihei Ochi, shown in this file photo, died of heart failure March 24 at a hospital in Ehime Prefecture, western Japan. He was 79. Ochi, a House of Representatives member from the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), served as construction minister, transport minister, and agriculture, forestry and fisheries minister in the cabinets of three prime ministers from the LDP.
