DaimlerChrysler delivers fuel-cell car to Tokyo Gas

TOKYO, Japan - Two officials from the Japan unit of DaimlerChrysler AG pose beside a fuel-cell-powered passenger car, the F-Cell, the company delivered to Tokyo Gas Co. in a ceremony in Tokyo on Dec. 4. This is the first time a fuel-cell vehicle was actually handed over to a customer. The German carmaker said it plans to deliver 60 F-Cell cars to other customers in Japan, the United States, Germany and Singapore over two years beginning this year.
