China: Perfectly Round Ice Disk Forms Over Barrel Opening in Winter Cold

A man in China’s Sichuan Province discovered a perfectly round, giant ice disk sealing the opening of a large barrel on Tuesday, December 23. The barrel had been left outdoors overnight, causing the surface to freeze into a thick and smooth circular ice sheet.
